unnatural

there is nothing unnatural about you and i

it happened as we walked along our lives

being who we  were, looking for nothing

finding everything, talking over life and tea

going under walls and through tunnels

into each others core and maze of feelings

amazed we danced in the candlelight

nothing unnatural ever really happened

life and light happened suddenly and slowly

what we do will never be ordinary or usual

we are too different we are contraries

not from each other, from the world

so we live together in a cardboard box

on the asphalt parking lot of life

listening to the music of our hearts

and the beat of a different drummer

dancing to a song without end
