through you

blinded by the fright of seeing too much

falling into night, defying life

my greatest fear, my elusive foe

resides in me hiding in plain view

afraid to be left behind and clueless

i look too far and see beyond you

i run so fast ahead, i forget the hand

that touches me, the mind 

that exquisite soul on fire that moves me

i don't want to look through you

only into your eyes
