natural state

my natural state

is the place where i dream

it's a wondrous realm

of unnatural grace

it's a place in my life

when I open a bit 

at a hole in a stream

near stillwater creek

it's a dappling grey ride

or an artist's deft touch

with a brown sable brush

on a tan canvas rug

it's a legend alive

in a mystical smile

it's all that i want

it's more than enough
